Coming for the Real You.

I'm hoping to share thoughts, fun and insightful information and aha moments with all to better serve ourselves and the universe.

My background is that of Executive Secretary for the local Electric company (11 years).

Certified Personal Trainer (since 1991) and Fitness Consultant for my own company, Beachin Bodies (6 years) and certified in Reiki and Nutrition with training in Cranial Sacral work, Tai Chi, and Meditation. Certified as a Professional Life Coach (2015); Minister at Universal Life Church (2016);

and, possibly, most important,

my own journey through illness and avenues, roads and roadblocks that I have taken to find the real me. (35 plus years).

The me that I was born as. The me that is the all-knowing. I believe the search is endless and we are here to learn and to love and to share it all.

Food

I find myself challenged by some of the foods I am currently choosing to eat.  Comfort foods with sugar and/or fat.  

I'm reaching for the easy.  I am reaching for a 'fix'.  I know that when I'd rather have something (too often) that is not the best choice, I am not eating because I am hungry.

I often ask myself  'If I eat this, will I feel better.."  If I said 'yes', I would eat it.  If I said 'no', I would not.

I am not asking myself this lately and I want the comfort food.

As I was walking near the kitchen today, I realized that food spelled backwards is doof.  I heard my self saying don't be a doof with the food you choose...

So, I come here thinking about this and I'm not sure what I will do with this information/awareness/mindfulness.

I know that I want to feel good or the best I can be with the food I choose.

I drink green smoothies with blueberries on a regular basis.  I eat avocado.  I eat nuts.  I also greatly enjoy the "Haagen Daz" caramel cone ice cream bars.  

My goal is to be more aware of what I choose to ingest.  I want to be more aware while digesting.  I am open to choosing foods that energize me and don't weigh me down.

It matters.  I matter.  You matter.  Life, how we choose to live it, matters.  

May you choose the foods that energize You and don't weigh You down; more often than not.   

Foods that do not put the weight on but have us feeling good about our choices; as much and as often as possible.

Choose You - energized and light; mindful and getting your health on.

Don't be backwards with the food you choose.  Don't be a doof.   Oh my.

May you be your ultimate foodie self.   

p.s.  I am aware that while I’m playing with the non-word ‘doof’, it is not the kindest that I can be to myself.
