Condo by the Sea

As early as my teens, I knew the beach was my happy place; the place I felt home.  It gave me peace. It brought me to my joy.  It connected me to the best of me.

I have found my way back.  It is where my relationship with my husband was founded, nurtured and grown.

We are back by the sea.

As we were in the living room, we both noticed a pigeon sitting out on the deck.  We both knew, immediately, that I was going to go to my “Animal Speak” book and look up the spiritual meaning of pigeon.

I don't know what to call the sound a pigeon makes.  It surely was a hoot to me as I read these words...

“Pigeons can teach us how to find our way back when we are lost.  They help us to remember and find the love of home and homelife that we have either given up or lost.  They are the only bird that can drink by sucking up water into its beak.  This reflects that ability to draw on the energies of home, no matter how distant.   They are reminders to us to remember that which has positively affected us in our early home life.”

“Remember that pigeons remind us of the possibilities, real and ideal, associated with home and family.”

May you remember what brought you into, connected you to and reminded you of the best of you through your early life at home (or in a relationship) and offered you the possibilities of the best parts of you.
